Corellia (Area)

Corellia, one of the core worlds, is considered by some to be the "jewel of the galaxy." It is a largely temperate planet and the capital world of the Corellian System, which includes the planets Selonia, Drall, Tralus and Talus. The planets in the system are called the "Five Brothers," and Corellia, being the largest and closest to the system's star, is called the "Eldest Brother."

In The Old Republic, Corellia is a very important player in galactic politics. It is the home to some of the oldest, largest and most powerful corporations in the galaxy - chief among them, Corellian Engineering Corporation (CEC), which owns the great starship factories that produce some of the galaxy's most iconic spacecraft.

The capital city, Coronet, is hotly-contested by the Sith Empire and the Republic. The Empire has launched an occupation force, and is attempting to sieze control of the corporations that run the place, turning much of the city into bombed-out warzones. The Republic, acting on the defensive, has allied itself with the Selonians and Drall from the neighboring planets in an attempt to thwart the Empire's aggression.
