When you reach the Sand Demon's cave, you will have a few options in how you deal with the beast. After you clear out the trash mobs and reach the quest trigger area, the Sand Demon comes rushing in to confront the Sith Warrior. It opens up with a dialogue of sorts, giving you some options for how you want to attempt to subdue the beast and take its blood. Be warned, most of these options will end violently, and the fight can be very challenging. If you want to take the path of least resistance, use these options: 

  1. [Stand stoically]
  2. [Stare the Sand Demon down]
  3. [Close eyes and meditate]

These are all alignment-neutral options. Picking any options other than these results in the Sand Demon becoming enraged and attacking. If you manage to lull the beast to sleep with your meditation trick, you can either slay it while it sleeps for Dark Side points, or allow it to release a puddle of blood of its own volition for Light Side points. 

If you have no patience for trickery, you can simply fight the beast and collect its blood the old-fashioned way. This is a challenging fight, but it is possible to solo the beast. Juggernauts can stand toe-to-toe against the thing using Soresu form, avoiding the AoEs when they occur, and with Quinn providing heals. Marauders will probably want to use Vette for DPS, kite the beast around to avoid AoEs and use a medpac when needed.
