Shadow of Apophis is formerly known as PirateLords. We still have the same approach to gaming, the majority of the member-base, a PirateLords founder, and all but one of the entire active leadership. Shadow of Apophis has been part of many games, both individually and as PirateLords. SWTOR will be our first venture under the new name, but the majority of us have played together.
As a guild, we move through games at our own pace, and do not let others dictate how and when we get things done. We have players that rush to max level, and we have players who take their time.
We are a tight-knit guild. The term “tight-knit†is often thrown around hap-hazardly by leaders to describe any guild or entity that isn’t a zerg or large in number. With Apophis, the term is accurately applied. We prefer a guild atmosphere where members know and appreciate each other, and members are not just a number, but a name. Coinciding with this is our moniker of “do more with lessâ€. We don’t just want to throw numbers at an objective or problem, we want to take what we have and apply ourselves through knowledge and ability in order to complete the task at hand. From this, and dealing with challenges and adversity, comes a legitimate and real sense of accomplishment and camaraderie.
We don’t have many rules, but we do have to maintain some standards and discipline. Our first rule is to have fun. Gaming is what brought us together, after all. We DO NOT have rules against swearing - as we are an often crude and lewd lot. Because of our crude behavior, “tell it like it is†attitude, and the playful banter and verbal jabs we exchange amongst ourselves, it’s strongly recommended that you have thick skin. If you get offended easily, you will not last. We require the use of ventrilo when actively playing a game with the guild. We also recommend coming around ventrilo even when not actively playing a game with the guild. Communication is a cornerstone of guild, both in enabling how we operate in-game, and building friendships that extend both into games and in life. Lastly, treat people with respect. Respect for your fellow guild-mates is vital to the success and atmosphere of the guild.
Drive, dedication, and loyalty are three of the most important qualities our members exhibit. Members of SoA are driven, striving to better themselves and the guild as a whole through merit and deed. Dedication is shown through our members’ commitment to the goals and sustainment of the guild. Loyalty is part of the foundation that makes SoA work. Without loyalty, a guild is just a group of strangers with a rotating door. Our members are protective of one another, helping fellow members when needed, and supporting each other from start to finish.
Most of us reside in the US and Canada, ranging from Pacific to Eastern time zones. Though our times are always based off Central, we're open to players from all over. We tend to have a few Apophis members on for most hours of the day and night.

History of games:
SWG - As PirateLords,ran Sabres Edge Rank 5 City on Bloodfin successfully. Part of a large Empire Alliance that took over the server. Lead several raids and base takeovers.
Warhammer Online - As PirateLords, joined server chaos alliance and controlled Dark Crag. Successfully sieged city and fortresses.
Aion Online - As PirateLords, lead and aided in fortress takeovers for the Asmodian Side on Siel. Part of a large alliance that worked with the server. Ranked top 2 guild on the server.
Rift Online - As Piratelords, lead open PVP conflicts and enjoyed as much of that as we could based on the lack of PVP in the game.
Shadow of Apophis:
We are starting SWTOR under a new name. Still the same attitude and direction as before, but stronger. We enjoy PVP and PVE alike and welcome all who wish to join us under a unified banner.
Recruiting will continue until we get enough. We do not zerg recruit, not everyone that applies gets in. We want quality, but also a certain kind of attitude.
With our tag you will have a target on your back full time. We'll back you up, but we'll need you to be able to handle yourself as well in both pvp, and pve.

I regret to inform all of you that the Jawa shaped potatoes have started to become cannibals, and that their numbers have fallen drastically. IF you happen to find one, cherish and love it, don't fire it from the potato cannon at a speed that would make a laden African swallow go "OH DAMN".

The honey badger problem has been dealt with, however it seems that they turned the lawn chair into a death star, so now you only get a hug for joining.

It seems that the Honey Badgers have agreed to be part of the movie Jaw(a)s and are demanding time machines with which they can clone their death star lawn chair. What they don't know is that this will not work because stealing their death star would just create a cycle that wouldn't end, involving duck tape, angry honey badgers, and more duct tape. However don't tell the honey badgers this, because they may end up being preoccupied with this long enough for the world to be rid of them.

It seems that the current honey badger problems have been resolved in a more thorough manner, seeing as a mad scientist decided to use their brains to power his Death Star model that has real working lazors and the ability to transform into a hedgehog that can roll around at the speed of plaid. On second thought maybe things just got worse. At least SWTOR now has a release date ;D

Shadow of Apophis is a multi-game close knit guild. Not just close knit as a recruitment tool, but we spend most of our free time in Teamspeak playing various games together.
We will be focusing on SWTOR and will have a dedicated chapter to SWTOR. What you get when you join us is many gamers and leadership with years and years of experience in pretty much every other game out there.
