San Diego Comic Con has come and gone for another year and despite Bioware stating that they were “showing up in force” there were relatively few, if any, pieces of new info. What we did get was a new trailer for the upcoming companion HK-51, which was unveiled to the audience of Sunday's panel. the assassin droid will be available to all classes and factions via a quest that will take you into a droid factory beneath the surface of belsavis. The level it willbe available and what class roles he will be able to perform are still up for debate (although DPS seems like a good bet).
Apart from HK-51's announcement there were a few hopeful, in not vague, tidbits from the Bioware base. Talk of epic quests to attain legendary weapons and the inclusion of new and familiar mini-games like pazaak made their way around the Bioware Base and the internet. It was also confirmed that existing operations content will not be comprimised by the upcoming extension to the level cap, and the items recieved form current operations will be adjusted accordingly.
That's about all that SDCC 2012 had to offer fans of The Old Republic. Let's hope that Bioware can meet these goals and more in the wake of the recent second wave of layoffs.
You'll find the HK-51 trailer after the break!
